Volunteers are what make an event, and each and every athlete hugely appreciates the amazing work done by our volunteers! We will need heaps of awesome, helpful, energetic, friendly volunteers to be a part of the event and add to the event experience for everyone.
Dates required range from Wednesday 9 May 2018 to Sunday 13 May 2018.
Our volunteer roles vary from pre event setup, to race day support to post event pack down.

Volunteer roles may include:
Based at one of the ten aid stations on course, you'll be working as a team of volunteers to provide hydration to runners. We suggest you pick a location near to your home for easy transport access. Great role if you have a group of friends and all want to be in the same place.
Ideal for early birds. This role involves assisting athletes onto correct start line buses. Once all the athletes have departed you will move into the Bag Drop Collection Assistant role, with time for a quick coffee in between!
Assisting at the Finish Line with the organisation and distribution of the athletes bags back to their owners.
Assisting athletes with directions and encouragement on course, keep public safe, provide event information and assist with limiting public being on the course. We suggest you pick a location near to your home for easy transport access. Great role if you have a group of friends and all want to be in the same place.
You'll be assisting in either the operations or administration department. This generally is an inside job.
You're keen to be involved and are happy to go wherever we need you most. Thank you for your flexibility.
The info desk is the initial face of the event for all athletes, volunteers and public. We need friendly people, who enjoy meeting and helping people to ensure they have an awesome event experience.
Assisting with local and international media programme, including transporting media around course on race day.
We are looking for a range of buskers/entertainers to help entertain and motivate runners on course in their hour of need! Perfect for anyone who enjoys being in the limelight and entertaining others with singing, dancing or general funny antics.
Assisting with all aspects of prize-giving, including set-up and prize giving itself, to ensure it runs smoothly.
Assisting athletes as they come through the finish, presenting their medal, handing out water and providing support to the athletes.
Assisting with set-up and running of athlete registration. This could include directing athletes, race number collection, transponder (timing device) checking, race bag and merchandise pick up.
Assisting the branding manager with pre, during and post event infrastructure build and also with sorting and installation of branding & signage. These are active & physical roles.
Either pre-event and race day roles. Involves all aspects of set up of each of the three start lines infrastructure, branding and signage. This is physical active work. On race day, it's an early start for a very important role, working in a team at one of the three start lines (10km, Half or Full). Roles include assisting with final set-up and pack down, signage, info desk, car parking attendants, car/ bus drop off and athlete bag drop. Race day role. You need to be confident supporting our traffic management staff with directing athletes through an intersection/across a road and may involve assisting with holding traffic as they pass.
