The course takes in the best highlights of the Hawke’s Bay region including the start at Westshore in Napier and along Marine Parade. The Hawke’s Bay trails then take you past vineyards and orchards winding along riverbanks towards the ocean with views out towards Cape Kidnappers, finishing at the impressive Elephant Hill Estate & Winery.
Runners start overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Westshore before winding their way past Ahuriri Marina towards Napier. Running along the iconic Marine Parade, the course then cuts inland via Te Awa Avenue and onto the Hawke’s Bay Trails.
The course then heads past Maraenui Golf Course before leading runners back out towards the coast at Waitangi Regional Park. Runners then follow the Hawke’s Bay Trails along the Tutaekuri River.
The course then heads south towards the Clive River and along the ocean front to the mouth of the Tukituki River. The course then curves along the east side of the Tukituki River towards Haumoana, before heading south along Beach Road and Clifton Road, taking in the views out to Cape Kidnappers, to discover the most stunning finish line at Elephant Hill Estate & Winery.
